A Mediterranean night, served slowly
Layali was born from long evenings around the table — warm bread from the oven, sumac and garlic, plates passed hand to hand, conversation that runs past midnight.
We bring that table to Fridley, Minnesota: refined Mediterranean cooking in the dining room, and a lounge where the hookah is fresh, the tea is poured high and nobody watches the clock.

What is Layali?
Layali Mediterranean Grill & Lounge is a Mediterranean restaurant and hookah lounge in Fridley, Minnesota. We serve stone-grilled kebabs, oven-roasted chicken, hummus and mezze, fresh salads, a traditional Arabic dish of the day and Palestinian breakfast. "Layali" (ليالي) means "nights" in Arabic.

Layali is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 9 PM.
What kind of food does Layali serve?
Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food: mixed grill platters with kofta, beef kebab and chicken tawook, half and whole roasted chicken, hummus, baba ghanouj, muhammara, labneh, falafel, grape leaves, lentil soup, fattoush, tabbouleh and other salads, plus Palestinian breakfast dishes like shakshuka and beef sajiyah.
How is the food cooked?
Our kebabs and skewers are cooked on a stone grill, and our chicken is roasted in our ovens.

Yes. Layali has a hookah lounge with classic and house blends, packed fresh for every table. Hookah service is 21+ with a valid ID.
What is the daily Arabic dish?
Every day we cook a different traditional dish, such as Mansaf, Maqluba, Ouzi, Qudra, Mandi, Biryani and Musakhan. Ask your server what's cooking today.
Does Layali serve Palestinian breakfast?
Yes. The Palestinian Breakfast Platter comes with tomato pan, egg pan, fried cheese, fries, olive oil & zaatar, makdous, tea, and is $16.99 for 1 person, $29.99 for 2 people, $49.99 for 4 people. We also serve shakshuka, beef sajiyah, egg and tomato pans and more.
Is Layali good for large groups?
Yes. The Mixed Grill Large ($119.99) has 5 skewers each of kofta, beef kebab and chicken tawook and serves 8–10 people. The Mixed Grill Medium ($64.99) serves 4–6.
